In winter 2016/2017 the first of a total of 25 Lufthansa Airbus A350-900 aircraft will take off from Munich. The A350 is not only the world’s most modern and most eco-friendly long-haul aircraft, it also offers passengers a completely relaxed travel experience. Through the wider cabin, passengers have more room and an ample sense of space.
In future, Business Class passengers can get themselves refreshments inbetween meals. In a specially designed self-service area passengers can choose between different snacks. In addition, a refrigerator ensures a supply of cool drinks.
Economy Class passengers in the A350 sit on new ergonomically-shaped seats which also display a new colour concept. There is also more room for stowing personal items.
Through the way the Airbus A350 was constructed there is a pleasant cabin pressure in flight which ensures that passengers arrive well-rested. This effect is also enhanced by a new light concept with a total of twelve light settings. These can be used in such a way that passengers can adjust their biorhythm to local time more easily.
Starting from winter 2016/2017 Lufthansa will base the first A350 aircraft in Munich and will initially probably use them to fly to Delhi and Boston. The aircraft will seat 293 passengers: 48 passengers in Business Class, 21 in Premium Economy and 224 in Economy Class.
The A350 uses 25 percent less fuel and generates up to 50 percent less noise footprint than comparable aircraft types.
