The industry website AirlineRatings.com has awarded Lufthansa for the second time in a row ‘Best long-haul airline (based) in Europe’. The renowned editorial team has also honoured Lufthansa as one of the ten best airlines worldwide. With these awards the best in the aviation industry are being acknowledged. At the same time they help passengers to decide which airline they are going to fly with in the following year.
This decision was made across all classes for Economy, Business and First Class by a panel of experienced aviation experts. Deciding criteria were comfort, innovation, cost and safety. Lufthansa excelled especially in the area of innovation with an exceptional performance which manifested itself in its market position, customer service, financial results as well as its financial management and operational safety.
“For decades Lufthansa has been setting an example for reliability, safety, service on board and environmental performance/ecological leadership. As for its leading role in the industry, its selection of aircraft, product innovation and reliability, the editorial team of AirlineRatings.com was at one in its praise for Lufthansa“, says Geoffrey Thomas, chief editor of AirlineRatings. He added: ”Lufthansa is a technology leader that is continuously looking for ways to make travelling safer and more sustainable but yet affordable. The exceptional performance continues with the subsidiary, Lufthansa Technik, the world’s leading independent supplier of maintenance services for airlines across the globe.”
Jens Bischof, member of the Lufthansa board and Chief Commercial Officer of the Lufthansa Group said: “We are proud to be Europe’s number one. That’s why we are investing a great deal into new products and services for our passengers so they have an all-round pleasant trip. But not to be forgotten: safety is our first priority.” He added: “We are delighted about this prestigious award from AirlineRatings.com. This award also goes to our staff on board and on the ground whose personal service creates an exceptional flight experience every day.”
