Flights in United Polaris Business Class start in December – but for United the story started a few years ago. Thorough research over more than 12,000 hours showed that passengers prefer a comprehensive Business Class experience: from lounge to arrival with the highest priority given to comfort and sleep.
To offer passengers the best sleeping comfort possible a new Flat Bed seat around two metres long was developed, resembling an individual private suite. Larger overhead bins as well as sufficient stowage space offer more room to work and dine.
Saks Fifth Avenue is supplying exclusive, luxurious bed linen. Skincare products are from the Cowshed Spa product range by Soho House & Co. The Trotter Project . And PriestmanGoode, the leading travel design advisors, created a completely new cabin experience in collaboration with the United team.
United Polaris will be launched on 1 December 2016 with an improved food and beverage range on board, new bed linen by Saks Fifth Avenue, new amenity kit and the new United Polaris lounge in Chicago. The United Polaris Business Class seat will be used for the first time in December in a Boeing 777-300ER, followed by refurbishment of the Boeing 787-10 and Airbus A350-1000 as well as Boeing 767-300 and 777-200.
The first United Polaris lounge will open on 1 December 2016 at Chicago O’Hare International Airport. More lounges will then be opened from 2017 in, for example, LAX, SFO, EWR and IAH. More aircraft equipped with the Polaris seats will follow.
And now the United Polaris is ready for take-off. Take a look inside.
